XFL Commissioner & CEO Oliver Luck recently appeared on Dan Sileo’s Radio Show on 97.3 The Fan in San Diego to talk about a number of topics regarding The AAF & The XFL. During the conversation, Luck announced that former NFL VP Of Officiating Dean Blandino will be working with The XFL. An official title or name of the role wasn’t given as of yet, but it was mentioned that Blandino previously worked for FOX Sports.
Luck also discussed the success that The AAF had on their opening weekend as well as the talent that will be featured in The XFL. Luck also mentioned that their broadcast partners for a TV Deal should be announced soon and that the announcement would be as big of a blockbuster as The Bob Stoops hire.
On the hiring of Dean Blandino, Luck said that “You kind of need professionalism everywhere”. Luck went on to talk about his credibility and how important that is when it comes to officiating. It is being said that this is a huge pick up for The XFL and it will definitely add credibility to their referees and to the quality of officiating.
