The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed DC Defenders WR DeAndre Thompkins to a one year deal. Thompkins is the second XFL WR to sign with the Steelers this week. LA Wildcats WR Saeed Blacknall resigned with the team earlier this week. To make room the Steelers released cornerback Alexander Myres.
Thompkins was taken in the fourth round, #32 overall in the Phase #1 portion of the 2020 XFL Draft. He played in four XFL games this season and caught seven passes for 85 yards and one TD.
He had one stop in the NFL in 2019 with the Philadelphia Eagles and played his college ball at Penn State.
