The Indianapolis Colts have signed Houston Roughnecks P Austin Rehkow to their Practice Squad. He is the 13th Roughnecks player to sign a pro contract and the first XFL player on the Colts.
Rehkow joins K Sergio Castillo (Jets), DT Walter Palmore (Cowboys), DT Gabe Wright (Jaguars) on NFL Practice Squads. QB P.J. Walker (Panthers), and LB Edmond Robinson (Falcons) on an NFL active roster. CB Saivion Smith (Cowboys) is out for the season with a hand injury.
Rehkow was selected in the Phase #5 portion of the 2020 XFL Draft by the Houston Roughnecks. He had stops with the Buffalo Bills, New York Giants and Salt Lake Stallions of the AAF. He originally signed with the Bills as an undrafted free agent on May 5, 2017.
