CFL’s Ottawa Redblacks Sign Houston Roughnecks WR Jalen Saunders

The Ottawa Redblacks of the CFL have signed Houston Roughnecks WR Jalen Saunders. Saunders was on injured reserve for the entire XFL season. He is the third XFL player to sign a CFL contract, along with WR Armanti Edwards, and teammate Sergio Castillo.

Saunders drafted by the New York Jets in the 4th round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He played his college ball at Oklahoma. He was drafted in the 7th round of the Phase #1 portion of the 2020 XFL draft.

At 27, Saunders had stops with the Cardinals, Seahawks, Saints, Patriots, Bears of the NFL and, Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL.
