According to the Edmonton Sun, Dallas Renegades WR Armanti Edwards has signed with the CFL’s Edmonton Eskimos. Edwards signed with the XFL during the season, was placed on Team Nine, then moved to the Renegades. He did not catch a pass in his time with the XFL. Terms of his new deal were not disclosed.
Edwards previously spent three seasons with the Toronto Argonauts. Winning the Grey Cup championship in 2017 under Vipers head coach Marc Trestman. He had a long and storied career in the CFL, it makes sense he would return.
The CFL season was originally scheduled to begin on June 11, 2020, that is in jeopardy because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The CFL has already postponed its global draft scheduled for April 16, 2020.
