The Carolina Panthers have signed Tampa Bay Vipers TE Colin Thompson to a one year deal. He is the second XFL player to sign with the franchise, the first being P.J. Walker. He will also play with newly drafted St Louis BattleHawks S Kenny Robinson.
Thompson was drafted in the Phase #5 Open Draft portion of the 2020 XFL draft. He played his college ball at Temple from 2014-2016 under current Panthers Head coach Matt Rhule.
He finished the 5 games XFL season with 1 catch for 13 yards. Thompson is known primarily as blocking Tight End. At 26 years old he had stops with the Giants and Bears.
