XFL training camp is upon us. Players are reporting to their teams in preparation for the upcoming 2023 season. On Thursday, the San Antonio Brahmas added some depth to their roster.
The Brahmas added 10 players to their team, as confirmed by the XFL. Here is the list of the players added to their training camp squad:
Jordan Anthony finished his collegiate career with Troy. However, he originally committed to Michigan and played high school ball at IMG Academy. Anthony’s final collegiate season saw him rack up 35 tackles in 12 games in 2021.
Divine Buckrham played his collegiate ball at Lamar University. He started all 11 games his senior season and recorded an interception against nationally ranked Sam Houston.
Trayvon Hards played wide receiver at Central Methodist, but will apparently play tight end in the XFL. He played in 16 total games, racking up nearly 400 receiving yards on 24 receptions.
Nathaniel Hines is an offensive lineman who originally played at Mesa College before transferring to Texas Southern. He went undrafted in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Tabari Hines is a wide receiver who began his collegiate career at Wake Forest. He transferred to Oregon before moving to North Carolina State as a graduate transfer.
Camron Lewis is another wide receiver who played collegiately at Tarleton. He had 14 catches and 177 yards as Tarleton won the Lone Star Conference Championship in 2018.
Moe Neal was a two-year starter at running back with Syracuse. Neal finished his career ninth all-time in rushing yards in school history with 2560.
Nick Raby spent time with Memphis and South Dakota before transferring to Southern Illinois in 2018. However, he never saw much game time at any one of those schools.
TyLan Shelby played collegiately with UL Monroe, recording a career 108 tackles and 16.5 tackles for loss in 44 career games. Shelby spent some time with the Los Angeles Chargers, but never saw any game action.
T.J. Simmons played collegiately at West Virginia, and racked up nearly 1200 yards receiving in his career. He signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent, but was eventually cut. Simmons also spent time with the Canadian Football League’s Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
The Brahmas kick off their season on February 19 in a nationally televised game against the St. Louis BattleHawks. Perhaps one of these 10 players will suit up in front of the San Antonio crowd for that game.
