The NFL schedule is up and running and more inroads are being made into the league by several XFL players. With the XFL canceled until 2022 due to the coronavirus pandemic, the XFL league revised its rules on players’ contracts. The contracts had prevented the players from signing with any NFL franchise until the XFL reboot season was over. However, with the stance revised, some players have already been in action at the NFL. You can catch up with some of the stars and could wager on their teams with this draftkings bonus offer.
While at it, different markets are also in place with the NFL currently on week 9. Other popular US sports are also available for wagering and are complemented further by updated new offers. So, who are these XFL stars getting shots at the NFL?
The ex-Roughnecks placekicker will have Sam Ficken’s ‘injury’ to thank for after an opportunity to start for the Jets came by for Castillo. His first NFL game for the struggling Jets was against the Bills and while they ended up losing, Castillo was 1-1 on field-goal attempts and 1-1 on converts.
The cancelation of the CFL (Canadian Football League) season saw Castillo opting out of his contract to give a try at the NFL. More recently, he played for the Houston Roughnecks in the 2020 XFL season which was also canceled. In the XFL, he played 5 games that all ended undefeated and made five field goals.
Another ex-Roughneck player has also made a shot at the NFL. This time is the quarterback PJ Walker who had his opportunity come by in a back-up role after a head hit on Teddy Bridgewater, Carolina Panther quarterback.
Teddy handed the ball off to PJ Walker after sustaining the hit and left the field for medical assessment. In his short stint on the field, the Panthers nearly scored with Walker connecting with Robby Anderson.
However, Bridgewater was back on and passed healthy to return to the game. In his 4 attempts, Walker had 1 completion for 3 yards.
The Los Angeles Chargers have so far been impressed with Donald Parham Jr., ex-Dallas Renegades’ tight end, for his exploits on the field. While the playing time has been limited for the 6-foot-8 23-year-old tight end, things are almost ramping up for him.
From the little time he has played, Donald Parham Jr. has had 2 receptions for 41 yards and 2 touchdowns. Simply put, every time Donald has caught the ball, he has ended up scoring. His talent is undoubted among the XFL fans who have seen him in action but for the NFL fans, he is something to be excited about.
Here are other players who have been signed up by the NFL franchises;
