The European League of Football’s Championship game is set, and the Vienna Vikings will take on the Hamburg Sea Devils at 28 Black Stadium in Klagenfurt, Austria, on September 25th, 2022, at 9:00 am EST.
Munich Football Team Announces Name & Logo
The European League of Football announced the team name and branding for one of the league’s expansion teams for the 2023 season. The team formerly announced as ‘Munich Football Team’ will now be known as the ‘Munich Ravens’ moving forward.
Ravens General Manager Sebastian Stolz commented on the team’s new branding, stating,
“When looking for a name for our franchise, one thing was clear: we wanted a name that represented us as a team. The raven as an animal and the English name ‘Munich Ravens’ quickly emerged. We were fascinated by the mystical nature of ravens – at the same time, ravens are very intelligent and smart animals. They like to play and are extrem team players. That’s exactly what we want our players to represent: smart moves, great enthusiasm for the game and absolute teamwork.”
The Munich Ravens are now the 16th team to join the European League of Football, joining 3 other expansion teams for the 2023 season, including the ‘Milano Seamen’ from Milan, Italy, the ‘Fehérvár Enthroners’ from Fehérvár, Hungary, and the ‘Helvetic Guards’ from Zürich, Switzerland.
