Jonathan Hayes Set To Be New XFL St. Louis Coach

Martin Kilcoyne of 590 The Fan in St. Louis, posted on his Twitter account that Jonathan Hayes will be the new XFL St. Louis head coach/GM. He is the former Cincinnati Bengals tight ends coach.

Hayes played tight end in the NFL for 11 season. He played for the Kansas City Chiefs (1985–1993) and the Pittsburgh Steelers (1994–1996).

He had two stops in his coaching career. He was the Tight ends / Special Teams coach for Oklahoma from 1999–2002. Then to the Cincinnati Bengals in 2003. He was let go after this season due to Marvin Lewis getting fired after his 14 seasons as head coach of the Cincinnati Bengals.

Jonathan Hayes was born in Pennsylvania and played his college ball in Iowa so unlike the other head coach announcements, seems like he has no ties to the city. Stay tuned to XFL News Hub for the official announcement Thursday, April 18th.
