Notable NFL And AAF Players From XFL Houston Summer Showcase

The XFL released its list of players invited to the XFL Summer Showcase in Houston, Texas. One hundred players total, 50 offensive, and 50 defensive players.

Houston is the second stop on the XFL Sumer Showcase tour. The first was yesterday in Dallas, Texas. The league already announced players like Will Hill, Demarcus Ayers, and Kenny Hilliard will be attending.

Here are some notable former NFL and AFF players;

Robert Meachem(WR) – was drafted by the New Orleans Saints 27th overall in the 2007 NFL draft and played seven seasons with the team from 2007 to 2011 then again in 2013 to 2014.

Alonzo Moore(WR) – played for the San Antonio Commanders(AAF)

Demarcus Ayers(WR) – was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the seventh round of the 2016 NFL Draft. Played for the San Antonio Commanders(AAF)

Ladarius Perkins(RB) – played for the Edmonton Eskimos(CFL), and the Birmingham Iron(AAF).

Trey Williams(RB) – played for the San Antonio Commanders(AAF).

Zach Mettenberger(QB) – was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the sixth round of the 2014 NFL Draft, and played for the Memphis Express(AAF).

Nick James(DT) – played for the Birmingham Iron(AAF).

Tanner Mangum(QB) – played for the BYU Cougars.

Josh Robinson(RB) – was drafted by the Colts in the sixth round of the 2015 NFL Draft.

Bradley Sylve(CB) – played for the Birmingham Iron(AAF).

    I see quite a few LSU, Southern U, Grambling, La. Tech, and SE Louisiana players on the list.
    The boot always stocked with talent!
