ARLINGTON, TX and DURHAM, N.C., FEBRUARY 6, 2023 – The XFL announced today that SMT (SportsMEDIA Technology), the leading innovator in real-time data delivery, graphics presentation and tracking solutions for the sports industry, has been named the Official Scoring and Stats Provider for the League.
SMT will provide a customized version of QBStat, its proven solution for providing real-time football stats, to accommodate XFL-specific rules and operational differences. SMT’s proprietary OASIS data and video platform, used by the NHL and other professional sports leagues, will allow XFL to maintain, administer, and manage centralized control over all phases of its data and video.
For the official XFL league website, SMT will provide a downloadable Game Book and SMT-built and designed widgets with live game results and stats, such as:
· Clock and score
· Possession
· Play-by-play
· Team stats and comparison
· Individual stat leaders
· Season/career leaders (i.e., individual category leaders, team stats, players stats, schedule, and standings)
SMT production teams will be stationed at every XFL game, with on-field scoring teams and QBStat and OASIS operators working in production trucks. Other SMT operators will work from SMT’s remote ROOSTER production studios, providing the XFL broadcast partner with an enhanced feed.
