ARLINGTON, TEXAS (May 15, 2023) – The XFL announced that 11 players from XFL teams have signed NFL contracts. Three of those players were named to the 2023 All-XFL Team on May 8.
Monday, May 15 was the first day XFL players could officially sign NFL contracts.
“We created a ‘League of Opportunity’ to provide players with a platform to show off their skills and prove that there is a positive benefit to spring football,” said XFL President Russ Brandon. “We are thrilled with the amount of NFL contracts signed and training camp invites received by players thus far, and we expect even more announcements to be made in the coming weeks. It is why we set the timing of our season to fit into the football calendar, which is an important benefit for our athletes.”
To date, 58 players have either been invited to camps or have held individual workouts with NFL teams since the conclusion of the regular season. Monday was the first day XFL players could officially sign NFL contracts. XFL teams retain the rights to players if they return to the League. The list of players who signed contracts as of 6 pm ET are listed below in alphabetical order.
“These signings are a credit to our player personnel departments at the team and league levels who recognized talent and all of our coaches who helped their development,” continued Brandon. “We are proud to watch our players continue on their path to achieve their professional dreams.”
