Steelers Release Brahmas Punter Brad Wing After Two Weeks with the Team

Brad Wing’s long-awaited return to the NFL has come to an end. The Aussie Punter and LSU alum spent the last Two weeks on the Steelers Practice Squad appearing in Two games while Pressley Harvin was sidelined with an injury.

Wing appeared in two games for Pittsburgh, during his most recent stint in the NFL. The 32-year-old has had stints with the Giants, Jags, Steelers, along with the playing with the Memphis Express (AAF), and most recently with the San Antonio Brahmas of the XFL. In 2023, Wing registered 11 punts for 495 Yards averaging 45 yards per punt.

Wing became the 2nd player from the 2023 XFL class to appear in a game during the 2023 NFL season. With merger talks continuing with the USFL, Wing’s football future could be a bit cloudy moving forward. Regardless, Wing’s statistical output and work ethic should find him playing football somewhere in 2024 or maybe even 2023.
