Front Office Sports is reporting in an exclusive story that Starter could be the off-the-field apparel brand for the XFL. They say the XFL is finalizing a deal with athletic brand.
Iconix Brand Group now owns the Starter brand. Starter was known for its “‘Starter Jackets” in the 1980s and 1990s. But after huge success, the brand fell on hard times and was sold to Nike in the late ’90s.
Iconix bought the Starter brand from Nike in 2007 and have been trying to get back into the pro sports game since. They previously fitted the AAF until they went under earlier this year.
The article goes on to say;
“The XFL, meanwhile, is also working on a separate deal for an on-field uniform supplier, said sources.”
Hopefully, the XFL can make an official announcement before the black Friday shopping season begins. Fans have been anxiously awaiting an XFL uniforms announcement.
With XFL mini-camps starting Wednesday, December 4th. It would be great for the XFL to have all its apparel deals in place.

I hope this is true as I used to love Starter brands…..especially their

Definitely the perfect partnership for the XFL and Starter. Looking forward to buying some XFL Starter branded fan gear once it’s available.
