The NFL’s interest in XFL talent continues to rise, as six additional players from the league have now been extended invitations to participate in NFL training camps. This recent wave of invitations brings the total number to 52, up from 46 just a few days earlier. This figure is expected to increase even more after the XFL Championship game, which is set to take place on May 13th in San Antonio.
Here are the latest XFL athletes to receive NFL training camp invitations:
- Antwuan Jackson (DL, Seattle Sea Dragons) – Carolina Panthers
- Gary Jennings (WR, St. Louis Battlehawks) – Carolina Panthers
- Mike Panasiuk (C, St. Louis Battlehawks) – Pittsburgh Steelers
- Jahcour Pearson (WR, Seattle Sea Dragons) – San Francisco 49ers
- Pita Taumoepenu (LB, Vegas Vipers) – Cleveland Browns
- John Yarbrough (C, Houston Roughnecks) – Washington
Worth noting is Jahcour Pearson, a wide receiver for the Seattle Sea Dragons, who will be visiting his third team. He has already visited the Indianapolis Colts and the Atlanta Falcons’ camps. Pearson’s performance during the XFL season was impressive, with 84 targets, 60 receptions, 670 receiving yards, and 4 touchdowns.
Also of note is linebacker Pita Taumoepenu of the Vegas Vipers, who was named the 2023 XFL Defensive Player of the Year.
