Pittsburgh Steelers Sign Renegades LB Tegray Scales To Practice Squad

The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed Dallas Renegades LB Tegray Scales to their practice squad. He is the eleventh Renegades player to sign a pro contract. He joins OT Jarron Jones(Guardians) and T Anthony Coyle(Guardians) on the Steelers practice squad.

In October he spent two weeks on the practice squad of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He fills the vacant practice squad spot when the Steelers moved Jayrone Elliott to the active roster. Scales signed a futures contract with Pittsburgh in January of 2019 but was later cut after the preseason.

He finished the 2020 XFL season 3rd on the Renegades with 24 tackles and 1 sack. At 24 years old, he has had pro stops with the Rams, Colts, and Buccaneers. This is his second stint with the Steelers. He played his college ball at Indiana.
