New York Guardians LS Scott Daly Signs With Detroit Lions

The Detroit Lions have signed New York Guardians long snapper Scott Daly. He is the 3rd XFL player to sign a futures deal with the Lions.

Daly is the 5th Guardian to sign a futures deal, OT Jarron Jones (Steelers), T Anthony Coyle (Steelers), K Matt McCrane (Browns), and WR Tanner Gentry (Bills).

Daly was selected in the Phase #5 portion of the 2020 XFL draft by the New York Guardians. He has stops with the Dallas Cowboys and San Antonio Commanders of the AAF. He played his college ball at Notre Dame.

He would need to beat out 17 year vet Don Muhlbach to earn a spot. Muhlbach re-signed a one-year deal with Detroit earlier this offseason.
