Los Angeles Chargers Sign Seattle Dragons WR Austin Proehl

I didn’t take long for Seattle Dragons WR Austin Proehl to find a new team. A day after being waived San Fransisco 49ers Proehl is now a member of the Los Angeles Chargers. He joins OL Storm Norton (Wildcats) and TE Donald Parham (Renegades) on the roster. He and fellow Dragon S Godwin Igwebuike (Lions) are the only two Seattle players on NFL rosters.

Proehl had 16 catches for 225 yards and 1 TD in the 5 game shortened XFL season. He was selected in the Phase #5 portion of the 2020 XFL draft by the Seattle Dragons.

He is a former 7th round pick of the Bills in 2018. He had stops with the Titans and Rams before signing with the 49ers in January. He played his college ball at North Carolina.
