While merger talks have been dominating the Alt-Football Offseason, Battlehawks Defensive Back Jon Alexander has quietly been impacting a group of young people in the Dallas Fort Worth area. Highlighted during the XFL’s Arlington Combine, Alexander took Four young men he is mentoring and gave them an all-access look at the next wave of prospective XFL players looking to their impact for the 2024 XFL season.
The organization known as “Alexander’s Athletics” was founded by the Battlehawks Defensive Back Jon Alexander whose mission was to provide leadership and mentorship for young athletes in his community. Alexander founded the program with his friend and Navy Veteran Darious Chase who both wanted to impact the community from a young age, and now serve as mentors to six young men in the DFW area.
As previously stated, Alexander’s foundation came to light when Four of his mentees were able to see firsthand the work, and perseverance it takes to get to the next level. While at the combine Alexander was able to introduce his players to XFL-hopeful and former teammate LaColby Tucker, along with Co-Owner Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, creating memories and planting the seeds of motivation for his group of young men to not only see what it takes to have successful careers as football players, but also become better men.
While Alexander may never return to the NFL, the DFW native has become a staple in the XFL community for his work with the young people in his hometown. For more on the creation of Alexander’s foundation check out the full interview below as Alexander and I talk about the backstory, along with the future of his organization.
