Guardians Director of Ops, Chris Thompson, Hired as OC for IFL’s Mass Pirates

Former Guardians Director of Football operations Chris Thompson was hired as the offensive coordinator for the Indoor Football League’s Massachusetts Pirates.

Although he did serve in a more executive capacity in the XFL, Thompson is no stranger to coaching. This includes a long run in the arena football world.

Thompson served in multiple capacities for 4 arena-style football teams, including the Philadelphia Soul of the AFL, and 6 years with the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks where he lead them to 6 straight playoff appearances as HC, Assistant GM, and OC.

He would go on to serve in the AAF as Director of Football Operations for the Atlanta Legends, before joining the XFL in the same position in New York.

Chris played QB at Bloomsburg University in PA, and has been in the coaching world ever since.
