According to a report in the New York Post By Andrew Marchand, the XFL has locked in its announce crews for the upcoming 2020 season. Both ESPN and Fox have decided on their top XFL broadcast teams.
Steve Levy, Dan Orlovsky, and Pat McAfee will be part of the ESPN broadcast team. We reported on McAfee’s signing with ESPN and potential ties to the XFL several months ago. Dianna Russini is expected to be the sideline reporter. We also reported on Russini and a possible XFL gig last month.
Curt Menefee and Joel Klatt will have the broadcast duties on FOX. No word on who their sideline reporter will be at this time.
For you Gus Johnson fans according to the report;
“Fox had interest in Gus Johnson doing the games, according to sources, but it did not work out in large part because it would conflict with Johnson’s college basketball schedule.”
No word yet on who will broadcast the other XFL games each weekend. The XFL will air four games each weekend on ABC, ESPN, and FOX starting in February.
