Defenders P Hunter Niswander Signs With Dallas Cowboys

DC Defenders P Hunter Niswander has signed with the Dallas Cowboys Practice Squad. He is the fourth XFL player to sign with the Cowboys. He joins Saivion Smith and recently signed Walter Palmore to the Practice Squad. Pace Murphy was cut from the team.

Niswander is the sixth DC Defenders player to sign with a pro team. The five players before him have been cut from their pro teams.

Niswander played in all 5 XFL games with 21 punts with a average yards per punt of 44.6. He was taken in the Phase #5 portion of the 2020 XFL draft by the DC Defenders.

Niswander was an honorable mention in Mike Mitchell’s All XFL 2020 team. He played his college ball at Northwestern University.
