DC Defenders TE Khari Lee Cut By Atlanta Falcons

Back in March, the Atlanta Falcons signed DC Defenders TE Khari Lee. On Thursday, the Falcons announced they have waived Lee, with an injury settlement. Edmond Robinson and Josh Hawkins still remain with the team.

Lee was one of five DC Defenders players to sign pro contracts. Currently, two remain on NFL teams.

Lee was taken in the 5th round Phase #1 of the 2020 XFL Draft. At 28 years old, he had pro stops with the Texans, Bears, Lions, and Bills. He played his college ball at Bowie State in Maryland.
