The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed former Dallas Renegades LB Tegray Scales to their practice squad.
Scales was a 2018 undrafted free agent after a stellar career at Indiana, where he was named to the 3rd-team All BigTen by coaches, and 2nd-team All BigTen by the media his junior year. He would also be the Defensive MVP of the Foster Farms Bowl.
He would finish the 2020 XFL season 3rd on the Renegades with 24 tackles and 1 sack.
As reported by our own Mike Mitchell, Scales had a workout with the Bucs over this past weekend, and know we now it ended up with him signing with Tampa Bay.
He joins 21 other former XFL stars that are now on NFL rosters. Dallas Renegades teammate CB Josh Hawkins recently had a workout with the Carolina Panthers, which could likely end with him joining the NFC South rival.
Those 22 XFP Players include 4 other Renegades, RB Austin Walter, OL Willie Beavers, WR Jeff Badet, and TE Donald Parham. With Parham being on the active roster for the Chargers.
