Cowboys have signed CB Saivion Smith (6-1, 200). He’s a former 5-star recruit who went to LSU before finishing his college career at Alabama. Smith had 3 INTs, 5 pass breakups for the Crimson Tide in 2018. He was signed last year by the Jaguars but has not played in an NFL game— Jon Machota (@jonmachota) April 10, 2020
Smith had eight tackles and one pass break up in Houston’s first two games but was inactive the final three games. He was selected in the XFL Supplemental Draft by the Roughnecks. He played his college ball at LSU and Alabama.
Smith was once the nation’s top prep CB prospect coming out of IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. He started his college career at LSU before transferring to a Mississippi junior college. Then finishing his career at Alabama. After a team-high three interceptions in his first season at Alabama, he decided to declare early for the draft.
He went undrafted and spent time with the Jaguars.
