Big Bro Returns: Battlehawks Defensive Lineman Kevin Atkins Signs Letter of Intent for 2024

Big Bro is back! After a stint with the Giants during the 2023 NFL training camp, the St. Louis Battlehawks secured a huge piece for their team in the middle. The big-bodied Kevin Atkins out of Fresno State, signed his Letter of Intent with the XFL on November 2nd ensuring his return back to St. Louis.

Atkins was drafted by the Battlehawks in November of the 2022 XFL draft. The Fresno State product became an immediate contributor for St. Louis totaling 14 Tackles and 1.0 Sack. Upon completion of the XFL season, Atkins worked out with the Falcons and Giants before signing with New York in late July.

Atkins was one of 15 Battlehawks players to earn an NFL contract at the end of the 2023 season. Currently among Merger talks with the USFL both leagues have continued to operate under the premise that it’s business as usual until an official announcement comes forward. While there may be a bit of uncertainty in the future of spring football, one thing is for sure Kevin Atkins is certain to make an impact in St. Louis come 2024.
