Arlington Renegades Add WR Juwan Manigo to Roster

The Arlington Renegades add more speed to the wide receiver position as they continue to construct their 90-man rosters during the offseason.

The league’s transaction page has Manigo officially added on as a roster addition to the Renegades Monday.

Manigo played three seasons with Delaware Valley University from 2017 through 2019. He combined for 62 catches for 960 yards and eight touchdowns in 35 games played for the university. His best collegiate season came in his last season in 2019 where he caught 33 passes for 492 yards and four touchdowns including a 76-yard touchdown catch. He was named to MAC Fall Academic Honor Roll in 2019 with the school.

Most recently, Manigo played in the LFA league in Mexico for the Caudillos where he recorded big numbers. Last year, he had 42 catches for 900 yards and 20 total touchdowns, adding 2,174 all-purpose yards in nine games. That led to him winning the 2022 Soy-Fam MVP.

This season for the Caudillos, he is the leader in the league in receiving 53 catches for 1,015 yards and nine touchdowns. He also led the league in total yards with 2,265 yards adding 25 yards rushing and 1225 return yards to the receiving yards. His performance as a returner was most notable, returning three punts and two kickoffs for touchdowns during the season totaling five. Many consider him an MVP candidate again for the league for his performance.

It continues to be clear that the Renegades are looking to bulk up the receiving core with plenty of speed. Manigo is fun to watch with the football in his hands as not only is he a dynamic receiver but makes a big impact on special teams. He proved in the LFA that he is a playmaker who doesn’t need many touches with the football to score touchdowns.

Special teams will be key for Manigo to join the team as the Renegades struggled in the return game, so he instantly makes their special teams good. He will have to prove himself as a receiver against higher-level competition but has already shown that he just needs the ball in his hands to make plays. There are currently 11 receivers on the roster so it will be a battle to win a roster spot. Manigo could be a sleeper signing for Arlington especially as they look to add more big-play athletics to the passing and return games.
