19 XFL Players Receive NFL Tryouts Including QB’s Ben DiNucci & Jack Coan

The XFL announced on Thursday that 19 players from the league will get tryouts with NFL teams during upcoming minicamps. Among them are former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Ben DiNucci and Jack Coan, who played for both Wisconsin and Notre Dame.

Ben DiNucci was a seventh-round pick in the 2020 NFL draft by the Cowboys. During his time with the Seattle Sea Dragons in the XFL, DiNucci led the league in passing yards (2,671) and touchdown passes (20), while also throwing 13 interceptions. He will be attending the Denver Broncos minicamp.

Jack Coan has been invited to attend two minicamps, one with the New York Jets and another with the Seattle Seahawks. During his college career, Coan played three seasons for the Wisconsin Badgers (2017-19) and one season for Notre Dame (2021). He was signed by the Indianapolis Colts as a free agent after the 2022 NFL draft but was later waived and picked up by the San Antonio Brahmas.

  2. Hakeem Butler (St. Louis BattleHawks) – Receiver; tryout with the Pittsburgh Steelers
  3. Freedom Akinmoladun (St. Louis BattleHawks) – Defensive end; tryout with the Miami Dolphins
  4. Luq Barcoo (San Antonio Brahmas) – Cornerback; tryout with the Cleveland Browns
  5. Trent Harris (Houston Roughnecks) – Linebacker; tryout with the Denver Broncos
  6. Jordan Thomas (Orlando Guardians) – Tight end; tryout with the Carolina Panthers
  7. Kevin Atkins (St. Louis BattleHawks) – Defensive lineman; tryout with the Atlanta Falcons
  8. C.J. Brewer (Houston Roughnecks) – Defensive tackle; tryout with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  9. Lukas Denis (St. Louis BattleHawks) – Defensive tackle; tryout with the Atlanta Falcons
  10. Austin Faoliu (Seattle Sea Dragons) – Defensive end; tryout with the Seattle Seahawks
  11. Alex Mollette (Houston Roughnecks) – Center; tryout with the Seattle Seahawks
  12. Chidi Okeke (San Antonio Brahmas) – Offensive tackle; tryout with the Pittsburgh Steelers
  13. Jacques Patrick (San Antonio Brahmas) – Running back; tryout with the Denver Broncos
  14. Charleston Rambo (Orlando Guardians) – Wide receiver; tryout with the Philadelphia Eagles
  15. Jack Snyder (Houston Roughnecks) – Guard; tryout with the Miami Dolphins and Baltimore Ravens
  16. Cam Sutton (Vegas Vipers) – Tight end; tryout with the Atlanta Falcons
  17. Barry Wesley (Seattle Sea Dragons) – Offensive tackle; tryout with the Atlanta Falcons
