Clearly unlike the XFL 2.0 era, gate is not a driver of revenue for the league. They just want fans in the stands for a good look on TV. It will be hard to fill the stadium for all games in 2022 as it is only in one city. Expect Stallions games to do well and light attendance for the other teams.
The USFL played for three season from 1983 to 1986 before going out of business. The USFL 2.0 era will feature eight teams from the USFL original franchises: Michigan Panthers, New Jersey Generals, Philadelphia Stars, Pittsburgh Maulers, Birmingham Stallions, Houston Gamblers, New Orleans Breakers and Tampa Bay Bandits.
The USFL will hold it’s ‘player selection meeting’ February 22nd-23rd, with training camps set to open March 21st.
