Top six all-time XFL players

The XFL shares many similarities with the NFL yet has conventional rules and regulations. On the field, the XFL has produced several talented players. Some eventually decide to join the NFL for a more successful career. The XFL, however, provides the athletes with a platform to carry themselves on.

There are a few similarities between XFL and the NFL. For instance, both of them are popular among betting fans. In particular, sports betting fans who keep a keen eye on up-and-coming stars also keep an eye on XFL, as they may feel it can give them an advantage when it comes to placing wagers on the NFL in the future.

We will also discuss the top all-time XFL players.

P.J. Walker

Walker is the National Football League quarterback for the Carolina Panthers (NFL). He had previously played for the XFL’s Houston Roughnecks. He led the XFL with 1,338 yards and 15 touchdowns. While playing there, he was the league’s breakout star. He was among the most dynamic and exciting players in the XFL. 

Cam Phillips

Phillips, a wide receiver, competes for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League. Before this, Cam previously played for the Carolina Panthers, Houston Roughnecks, and Buffalo Bills. Phillips was the top receiver in the league in 2020, catching 38 passes for 515 yards and three touchdowns. He also returned 18 kicks for 442 yards and a touchdown.

Jordan Ta’amu

Jordan, a quarterback for the football team, started by playing collegiate football at the University of Mississippi. Jordan topped XFL quarterbacks with a 72% completion percentage and 217 running yards while playing for the St. Louis BlueHawks.

Moreover, he is the only quarterback among the first eight in the XFL who has never played in a regular-season game for a living. He has also played for the Detroit Lions, Kansas City Chiefs, and Houston Texans.

Josh Johnson

Johnson was one of the top performers when playing quarterback for the Los Angeles Wildcats, leading XFL quarterbacks with an average of 8.0 yards. In 135 tries, he has also thrown 11 touchdown passes.

Johnson has played for sixteen teams in four different leagues up to this point. He first appeared on the field while the San Diego Toreros played collegiate football. Josh has been playing since 2008, but it was in 2018 that he started getting games. He was playing for the Washington Redskins in his 11th season.

Derron Smith

Since being selected in the 2020 XFL Draft, Smith has played free safety for the Dallas Renegades. Smith now has sixteen tackles and one interception in addition to the tram.

Before joining the XFL, he had previously played for three NFL clubs and the AAF. He was part of the Minnesota Vikings, San Antonio Commanders, Cleveland Browns, and Cincinnati Bengals.

Donald Parham

Donald finished first among all XFL tight ends with 24 catches for 307 yards and four touchdowns while playing for the squad. He had already signed with the Detroit Lions after going undrafted in the 2019 NFL Draft before that.
