Deion Sanders
Deion “Prime Time” Sanders is definitely on the list of the best NFL players of all time. Sanders was a man with a lot of heart, which was evident both on and off the field. Whenever he touches the ball, he seems to create a moment of magic for his team.
Sanders is the only person in the Super Bowl and World Series to score a home run in MLB and a touchdown in the NFL in the same week. Another impressive statistic: he has 2 Super Bowl titles to his credit, and Deion is also one of several players to score a touchdown in the NFL on 6 carries.
Johnny Unitas
John “Golden Arm” Unitas was a true NFL legend. He spent most of his career playing for the Baltimore Colts. He was the NFL’s record-setting quarterback and MVL in various years:
- 1957;

Unitas is also a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, where he was inducted in 1979. In his memory, since 1987, the best quarterback has been honoured with an award called the Golden Hand of Johnny Unitas.
Walter Payton
Walter Payton is an excellent player on the list of the best. His nickname was “Sweetness”, he played for the Chicago Bears from 1975-87. Payton is remembered as a prolific forward, with multiple scoring records and more. Sadly, Payton passed away, however, he will forever be remembered in the hearts of fans as one of the greatest NFL players of all time.
Lawrence Taylor
Taylor or “L.T.” played for the New York Giants from 1981-93, and is considered one of the best in the NFL. Taylor has a large number of accolades under his belt from his early seasons to the very end of his playing career, so he has amassed a very impressive resume. He has appeared in 10 Pro Bowl contests and won the Super Bowl twice.
Joe Montana
Montana played for the 49ers from 1979-92 and then for the Chiefs from 93-94. He was nicknamed “Tough Joe” and could claim 4 Super Bowl titles and 3 Super Bowl MVP titles. Joe was confident and really cool, which is probably why he became such a good player and earned that nickname. He was noted for his ability to remain calm, even in the most difficult situations, which allowed him to drag the whole team to victory.
Thanks to this, he scored 32 wins, a very impressive result! Joe was listed as one of the 100 greatest players in football and is rightfully considered one of the greatest NFL players of all time.
Jim Brown
Brown is a true legend in the sport, having played as a fullback for the Cleveland Browns from 1957-69. The Pro Bowl invited Jim every season of his league career and three times he was voted the AP NFL Most Valuable Player. Brown is a true champion, leading the league in scoring in eight of his nine seasons. His number 32 jersey is kept by the Browns, and after his football career ended he became an actor and landed many major roles in the 1970s.
Jerry Rice
Jerry Rice played 20 seasons in the league and is our greatest NFL player of all time. He is also, without a doubt, the greatest receiver of all time. He has 13 Pro Bowl games to his credit, 10 first-team All-Pro wins, and a three-time Super Bowl championship. He is the all-time leader in all major statistical categories in the NFL.
Rice is also remembered as one of the best players in football history to make winning passes very often. In 303 games over 20 seasons, he showed what dedication was and what it meant to him. He was truly great!

During his career, Brady has won the Lombardi Trophy 7 times, earned 4 Super Bowl MVP awards, as well as many other NFL records.
In 2021, he did the impossible, playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, becoming a Super Bowl champion. He won his 7th Super Bowl at the age of 43, and made history by being part of the first team to compete in the Super Bowl in his home stadium.
