About life
Patrick was born on 17 September 1995 in Tyler, Texas and is African-American by nationality. He currently lives in Kansas City, Missouri. Pat’s father was a baseball pitcher, as was godfather La Troy Hawkins. Both played in the Minnesota Twins clubhouse. The player’s father and mother divorced early and decided to keep a good relationship for the sake of their son.
Starting at the age of 4, Patrick began to practice baseball throws, which his father accepted. He was very patient with his son, and he in turn absorbed with incredible speed the knowledge from his father. Patrick Mahomes also liked to carefully analyse the game of professionals, soon realising that sport is hard work.
The athlete studied at Whitehouse High School and in his spare time took part in a Christian youth organisation. Patrick played more than one sport, including American football, baseball and basketball. The young man believed that this variety would maximise his skills as a defender. Later, his coach (Jon Gruden) stated that he had never seen a quarterback throw like that before. Regardless, Patrick was eager to continue the family tradition as a baseball player and play for the Detroit Tigers.
He has a wife (Brittany Matthews). He proposed to her in a very cool way, part of the stadium was covered in roses and the scoreboard read, “Will you be my wife?” (this is 2020). In September, the couple announced that they were expecting a baby girl, and the player posted a photo with an ultrasound scan on his Instagram page.
American football
Even when Patrick Mahomes played at university, he was noticed by managers of top clubs. According to journalists, the young man travelled the country “like a rock star” and passed in the end 19 hits, eventually he got to the “Kansas City Chiefs”. He moved on permanently to the American Football League and was done with baseball. Mahomes spent the first season in his sports biography as a replacement for Alex Smith, making his debut on the field in a game against the Denver Broncos.
Patrick received the 2019 Most Valuable Player award, it was a Super Bowl win and the team’s first major accomplishment in 50 years. Interesting fact: Patrick Mahomes became the 3rd African-American player to win the championship.

Patrick Mahomes has excellent technical skills in throwing the ball (as we wrote at the beginning of the article, even his coach was surprised by this, most likely his versatile sport has given him such abilities), he makes great turnaround shots, corner passes and more. And we also wanted to mention a very important point for a successful athlete, he really knows how to play on a team.
