If you like to spend your time on
top sports betting sites and were hoping to see Johnny Manziel into XFL, then
you have some bad luck. Manziel seems like he’s not being loved by XFL teams,
and not long ago, Daryl Johnston declared for Dallas Morning-News that he won’t
sign up the player. The former director of player personnel of the Renegades
and the former Dallas Cowboys fullback is refusing to sign him up twice in a
row.
All speculations about teams in
the league would sign up Manziel have risen after Vince McMahon announced XFL’s
return on Twitter. But why won’t Johnston consider signing him up? If you want
to know why Manziel won’t be in the XFL section on the top
sports betting sites, keep reading.
Daryl
Johnston’s Explanation
Via the Dallas Morning News, Johnston
talked about how he’ll pass on Manziel again, after doing the same in San
Antonio. Johnston had the chance to sign Manziel to the San Antonio Commanders
too, and all of it happened just a few months prior to this news.
“For me, the chemistry in
the locker room is critical, and especially the quarterback position. He kind
of sets the tone, especially for the offensive side of the ball, but really for
the whole team. There is so much added responsibility that goes with the face,
goes with the voice of the franchise. And I haven’t seen that from Johnny on a
consistent basis that I would feel comfortable committing to him.”
What
Does This Mean for Manziel?
Manziel is known to have played in the 2014 NFL Draft with the Cleveland Browns. More than that, he played with them for two seasons. Ever since he was also with the Alliance of American Football and the Canadian Football League.
Jude Jones used to coach Manziel
during his stint with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, so to him, it is not a surprise
that Jones was in the draft pool. However, Manziel is experiencing issues being
signed up to the XFL.
It isn’t only because Johnston
has refused him, but also because of his past. XFL made a statement recently,
revealing that players with criminal records will not be allowed to play with
the club. Coincidentally, Manziel has a criminal past, meaning that Johnston
reasons for not signing him up are not the only reasons why he won’t be joining
the league. He’d simply not be eligible for it.
But in spite of this, Manziel is
not necessarily out of options. He also talked up the possibility of playing
with a league overseen by June Jones. So, if you’re a fan of Manziel, you’ll be
happy to know that this is not the end for him.
Final
Thoughts
While Manziel will not join XFL,
he still has chances to excel in other leagues. Make sure to follow Manziel, as
well as the XFL league for other news about them. Also, don’t forget that you

Story should include a citation of Manziel’s alleged criminal record. Of course it might be a little embarrassing to cite a peculiar Grand Jury indictment that was not prosecuted by the DA. But — maybe the XFL will change it’s mind and accept a talented high-impact NFL QB.
