Dylan Smith from Yellowhammer News has been reporting on the USFL to Birmingham story. Late last week it was announce that the $3.6 million needed to fund the season was in place. Yesterday the President of the Alabama Sports Council Gene Hallman stated that the USFL plan is in lawyers hands to finalize.
Now it looks like we will have official word from Fox Sports next week.
“In a moment of personal privilege, Senator Jabo Waggoner (R-Vestavia Hills) announced to the body that @FOXSports will hold a formal announcement next week detailing that the new USFL is coming to Birmingham.”
Next week should be big news for the USFL. Stay tuned to XFL News Hub as we assume some more news on this story will come out before the formal announcement next week. Fans are anxiously awaiting news on USFL teams and a player draft.
