We have learned that XFL front office staff, team head coaches, and player personnel are in Houston this weekend to monitor NFL cut down day. With six months to go till kickoff in 2020, there is no rest for the XFL.
The NFL final roster cutdowns must be submitted by 4 pm eastern time on Saturday. Waiting in the wings is the XFL. The XFL is looking to build their talent pool for the XFL draft in mid-October.
Danial Kaplan of The Athletic reported that all eight XFL Head Coaches would be in Houston.

We also learned that only be head coaches are in Houston, assistant coaches are staying home since XFL Head Coaches are also the GM’s.
Like many NFL reporters and broadcasters have pointed out that NFL cut down day is the end of the road for many football players. That is not the case. The XFL and their fans are excited to watch them play in starting in February 2020.
Over the next two days, by 4 pm EST Saturday, NFL teams will have to trim their rosters from 90 to 53 players. This means 1,184 players will lose their jobs this weekend. Some will be brought back for practice squads, but for many, their dreams will be over.
