Stamford, Conn., March 11, 2020 – In support of its mission to bring a fresh, fun and innovative approach to America’s favorite sport, the XFL has tapped into the power of music to connect with fans and further energize their gameday experience.
The league has teamed with DJDTP, a full-service music production company based in New York and Los Angeles, to create an original league anthem and unique theme songs for each of its eight teams.
Credits for DJDTP include original music for EA Sports, Paramount, Disney, Netflix, Viacom, and Universal, as well as hit singles with multiple major labels, including JoJo Siwa’s “D.R.E.A.M.”, Rachel Platten’s “Wonder” and the soundtracks for Disney Channel’s original hit movies “ZOMBIES” and “The Descendents”.
All nine songs are available on Spotify and iTunes and can be accessed through the links below.
With each XFL team and city possessing its own identity and culture, DJDTP went to work on creating original songs that combine the distinct experience of each locale with the essence of the XFL, “For the Love of Football”.
The result is an overarching XFL anthem that exudes the spirit of the league and its love of football and eight unique team anthems that serve as rallying cries for their fans during every home game and throughout the season.
“Music creates the soundtrack for sports memories that last a lifetime,” said Jeffrey Pollack, President and COO of the XFL. “The tracks produced by DJDTP help drive engagement and excitement inside our game venues and around the league.”
“Working closely with the XFL and each team president has been an incredible experience and opened up our eyes to the reality that we are all doing this ‘For the Love of Football’,” said James Petrie, COO of DJDTP. “Understanding what motivates and empowers teams and their fans have enabled us to craft authentic songs that enhance the XFL experience, engaging audiences across the board in support of their favorite team.”
