Seven Players Sign XFL Letter Of Intent: Jeter, Vincent, Pihlstrom and More

Jalen Redmond: Defensive End, Arlington Renegades (Oklahoma)

Jalen Redmond, born March 12, 1999, is a recent addition to the Arlington Renegades as a defensive end. Hailing from Midwest City, Oklahoma, Redmond showcased impressive talent early in his football journey. Initially a basketball player, his athletic potential led him to football in his junior year of high school, where he quickly garnered significant attention, receiving an athletic scholarship offer from Memphis before playing a varsity game.

His high school career culminated as a five-star recruit and the 16th-best prospect nationally, according to 247Sports. At the University of Oklahoma, Redmond faced challenges, including a blood clot issue in 2018 and opting out of the 2020 season due to COVID-19. His impressive performance at the 2023 NFL Scouting Combine, including top metrics in the 40-yard dash, broad jump, and vertical jump for his position, led to a brief stint with the Carolina Panthers as an undrafted free agent before joining the XFL’s Arlington Renegades.

Stanley Berryhill: Wide Receiver, Houston Roughnecks (Arizona)

Stanley Berryhill III, a wide receiver, has signed with the Houston Roughnecks. He played college football at Arizona and demonstrated his prowess on the field by being named to the All-Pac-12 First Team in 2021. Berryhill’s professional journey includes signing as an undrafted free agent with the Atlanta Falcons in 2022, followed by short terms with the Arizona Cardinals and Detroit Lions. His time with the Lions was marred by a suspension for violating the league’s gambling policy. Berryhill’s signing with the Roughnecks marks a new chapter in his career in the XFL.

Connor Davis: Tight End, Houston Roughnecks (Stony Brook)

Connor Westley Davis, now with the Houston Roughnecks as a tight end, played college football at Stony Brook University. His early career saw him in various roles, including tight end, offensive tackle, and defensive end. Davis’s professional trajectory began with the Birmingham Iron of the AAF in 2019 and continued with a selection by the St. Louis BattleHawks in the 2020 XFL draft. He also had brief affiliations with the New York Jets, Cleveland Browns, and the Michigan Panthers of the USFL. Davis’s diverse experience across different leagues and positions adds a unique dynamic to the Roughnecks’ roster.

Donovan Jeter: Nose Tackle, Houston Roughnecks (Michigan)

Donovan Jeter, a nose tackle, has joined the Houston Roughnecks, bringing his experience from playing college football at Michigan. Jeter’s professional journey includes signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers as an undrafted free agent in 2022. He later joined the Washington Commanders, where he appeared in one game before being released. Jeter also had stints with the Chicago Bears and New York Giants in 2023 before signing with the Roughnecks.

Alex Pihlstrom: Offensive Lineman, Houston Roughnecks (Illinois)

Alex Pihlstrom, an offensive lineman who played college football at Illinois, has been signed by the Houston Roughnecks. His collegiate career was marked by versatility, as he played multiple positions, including tight end and guard, before settling into the center role. Pihlstrom earned All-Big Ten second-team honors in his final season. After going undrafted in the 2023 NFL Draft, he signed with the New Orleans Saints before joining the Roughnecks.

Taron Vincent: Defensive Tackle, Houston Roughnecks (Ohio State)

Taron Vincent, a defensive tackle from Ohio State, is another new addition to the Houston Roughnecks. Vincent’s NFL journey began with an invitation to the Buffalo Bills’ rookie camp and a subsequent signing with the Los Angeles Rams in 2023, where he was part of the final roster cuts. Vincent, the son of former NFL cornerback and current NFL executive Troy Vincent, brings a rich football lineage to the Roughnecks.

Koda Martin: Offensive Guard, St. Louis Battlehawks (Texas A&M, Syracuse)

Koda Martin, an offensive guard who played college football at Texas A&M and Syracuse, has signed with the St. Louis Battlehawks.
