Renegades OC Hal Mumme Breaks Leg, Finishes Coaching Game

In the Renegades close loss to the undefeated Roughnecks, Cameron Artis-Payne accidentally collided with his offensive coordinator Hal Mumme on the sideline. Mumme shook it off and coached another half from the sideline, but it turns out he actually suffered a broken leg on the play.

When the story came to light on twitter, the father of the Air Raid offense said just this:

There’s men, and then there’s men. Hal Mumme will be coaching from the box next week and I’m sure he’d be happy on the sideline with his guys, but there’s just a better view from up there. Purely coincidental.
