
ULTIMATE GAMING LEAGUE TO HOST MADDEN TOURNAMENT TO BENEFIT THE OAKLAND PLEDGE FOR COVID-19 RELIEF
Pro Quarterback Josh Johnson Heads Esports Tournament Kicking off Tuesday, May 26
Oakland, Calif. (May 11) – The Ultimate Gaming League (UGL) is set to host a 64-person Pros vs. Joes Madden Tournament kicking off Tuesday, May 26 and concluding Saturday, May 30. Any funds generated from the tournament will benefit the Fam 1st Family Foundation, which is currently partnering with several Oakland-based non-profit organizations as part of The Oakland Pledge, providing relief for those affected by Covid-19. The tournament is sponsored by the clothing line Family First and is free to enter, but UGL will be hosting a text-to-donate campaign during the four-day period.
Tournament prizes include a PlayStation gift cards, a variety of UGL raffle prizes and each entrant will receive a code for 40 percent off select Family First clothing items. The winner of the tournament will be entered to play in a Pro Madden tournament against NFL athletes at a later date. To register for the four-day tournament click HERE.
UGL, co-founded by NFL-veteran and former XFL quarterback Josh Johnson, seeks to expand the culture of esports beyond competitive gaming and create a broader community of gamers through its own branded esports tournaments.
