Guardians DB Wesley Sutton Signs With CFL’s Montreal Alouettes

The CFL’s Montreal Alouettes have signed New York Guardians DB Wesley Sutton.

He is the 11th New York Guardians player to sign with a CFL team. He joins 3 other XFL players on the Alouettes roster. QB Phillip Nelson (Renegades), WR Eli Rodgers (Defenders), and WR Nelson Spruce (Wildcats).

Drafted by the New York Guardians in the Phase #5 Open portion of the 2020 XFL Draft. He finished the 2020 shortened XFL season with five defensive tackles and two sacks.

At 25-year-old, Sutton spent time in the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles.
