The New York Giants announced a flurry of roster moves that included the signing of former DC Defenders DT Elijah Qualls. Defensive lineman RJ McIntosh and receiver Derrick Dillon were released.
Qualls was drafted out of the University of Washington by the Eagles in the 6th round of the 2017 NFL Draft, and was part of the team that brought the first Lombardi Trophy to Philadelphia.
He bounced around the league between his rookie year and 2019, until the XFL came calling. Qualls was selected by DC in the 3rd phase of the league’s draft, which was reserved for the defensive front 7 (defensive line and linebackers).
Qualls ended the pandemic-shortened season with 9 total tackles, one for a loss, and a fumble recovery.
