Dwayne’ The Rock’ Johnson To Appear On Monday Night Football, XFL Talk?

Dwayne’ The Rock’ Johnson is set to appear on Monday Night Football. The following tweet was sent out during Saturday night’s NFL playoff game.

“ONE ROCK TWO MANNINGS THREE FANNY PACKS Tune in to #MondayNightFootball with Peyton and Eli Manning. THIS MONDAY at 8:45ET”

“Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli” air’s on ESPN2 and simulcasts on ESPN’s streaming service, ESPN+. The show starts at 8:15 pm ET, with the Arizona Cardinals taking on the Los Angeles Rams.

The Rock’s last time on TV was on CNBC in December, where he talked briefly about the XFL.

“We are a little over one year away from watching our XFL. That is our professional football brand with our chairwoman, Danny Garcia and our other partner, Gerry Cardinale, from RedBird Capital. And we should maybe within the next month or maybe two months, we’re going to be announcing our broadcast partners, which we’re very excited about and new teams, new cities and very excited about that… as a former player myself, what an opportunity it is to create an opportunity for other players to live out their dream and take care of their families.”

Gerry Cardinale mentioned in an interview that the XFL will have a slow crescendo of news as we build towards the 2023 season. This could be part of that build.

Will the ‘The Rock’ announce dates for teams and cities? Will he drop Broadcast partners’ news? Will Seven Bucks Productions partner with Omaha Productions, the Manning brothers production company? The promo video was also sent through all the XFL’s social channels. That is a big clue that this appearance could be XFL related.

We will find out Monday Night. Join our live XFL podcast from 8 pm to 9 pm during the Manning Cast for reaction to The Rock’s appearance.
