Badet started his collegiate career at the University of Kentucky before transferring to Oklahoma before his senior year. At UK, he finished with over 1300 yards receiving, 7 TDS, and over 300 yards in kick returns.
Undrafted in 2018, Badet signed with the Vikings, and because of his success in the preseason, he was signed to their practice squad. Released in 2019 after a groin injury, Badet brought his speed and talents to the XFL.
Selected number 4 overall by the Renegades in Phase 1 of the 2020 XFL draft, the former Wildcat and Sooner receiver put on a show. Although the season was cut short, he was able to get 16 catches for 108 yards.
Badet joins 16 other XFL stars on NFL rosters this season, and with the way the receiving corps is in Washington, this may be a great shot for him to make is on the 53-man squad.
