The NFL is Back in London with Two Games in 2021

After missing out last year due to travelling restrictions, international football is back and will once again visit London with two games in 2021. Both games will be held at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the stadium that may well take over from Wembley as being the home of NFL in England.

First up on October 10, the Atlanta Falcons will play the New York Jets and then a week later on October 17, the Jacksonville Jaguars will play the Miami Dolphins. Both games will kick off at 2:30pm UK time, 9:30am ET.

The international series brings added excitement and also allows people from England to watch live, rather than watching on TV as the big fans do week in week out during the season. Rather than that, those taking an extra interest with a bet can be even closer to the action while they are using this list of new sports betting sites here.

Star Quarterback on Show in London

As soon as these games were released, people quickly realised the quarterback matchups that we are going to see in these games. Three youngsters who could become the best in the game, and one legitimate star are all on show, so whichever game you are at, you are going to see a great quarterback battle.

Matt Ryan will lead the Atlanta Falcons against the number two pick at the 2021 draft, Zach Wilson. This is an early game on a big stage in Europe for Wilson to show his credentials and why the Jets took him with their high pick.

In the second game, we get to see the number one pick from the 2021 draft as Trevor Lawrence will take to the field for the Jacksonville Jaguars. He is the player they have brought in to build around for years to come, and all eyes will be on Lawrence to come up with a star performance. He will go up against Tua Tagovailoa for the Miami Dolphins, who was the fifth pick in the 2020 draft and impressed after winning the starting job in Miami during last season.

With these four names on show, fans will be expecting something special in at least one of the two games from the men with the ball.

The History of the NFL London Games

NFL games in London have become a tradition for both fans in the UK and also those who are in the US. The overall series has seen a total of 28 games played in London, across 13 seasons between 2007 and 2019.

We saw nothing last year unfortunately, so that run was broken, but the NFL is back this season to take the total number of games up to 30. These will both take place at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium, which is set to overtake Wembley as the main hub for NFL in London and will give some fans a brand new stadium to visit when the games come later this year.
