PR: MLFB Talks Spring 2022 Season, Hires CFO

Frank Murtha, President and CEO stated today that MLFB was continuing its preparations on multiple fronts for a Spring 2022 Season. He is pleased to announce the hiring of CFO Greg Campell, who was the Executive VP and Chief Financial Officer for the Detroit Pistons since 2014. Prior to that he served in a similar capacity with the Memphis Grizzlies from 2004. In addition he has held similar positions in the NHL, AFL and CFL. He brings vast experience in the sports field to MLFB.

Murtha also reported that he expects word back from the SEC on MLFB’s Reg A offering very soon and that Mike McCarthy completed a successful scouting trip at the East West Shrine and Senior Bowl games.

While in Mobile he met with officials of the University of South Alabama’s Athletic Department regarding use of their brand new stadium for an MLFB team located in Mobile. The stadium is the site of the Senior Bowl and has a 25,000 seat capacity with state of the art multi media capabilities.

    You don’t even have a website yet and you plan on bringing a league to bear in Spring 2022? Don’t make the same mistake the AAF did, get your funding secure for an entire season, stadium deals and personnel ready to go on the admin side THEN start talking about playing games
