Merger can be done without any ownership change, like the way the AFL merged with the NFL, you still have individual owners. The XFL has one owner, the 9 CFL teams have their own. You can have fully integrated games, and Grey Cup between the Canadian Division champs v/s the American version. Need to keep the Grey Cup as the coveted prize.

Three down football only works on the larger playing field, so XFL wouldn’t go for three downs on the current American field.

Redbird Capital should consider entering one or two teams to compete in the CFL for 2021 season. The Rock cant afford to enter all 8 XFL teams at once. Having one or two teams in competition would render a lot of attention and excitement in the short term.
