Love the podcast and the news, but your “information” about the stability and worth of MLB franchise is very prejudicial.

Factoring in all 30 clubs, the average MLB franchise is now said to be worth US$2.2 billion in 2021. Collectively, they are worth US$66 billion. The least valuable of MLB’s teams are the Miami Marlins, who are estimated to be worth US$1.12 billion. The Yankees are worth the most at US$6.75 billion. https://www.sportspromedia.com/news/new-york-yankees-2021-mlb-franchise-valuations-sportico-forbes#:~:text=Factoring%20in%20all%2030%20clubs,(RSNs)%20and%20real%20estate.

Here is a link to a graph showing National TV rights revenue for the league (Still going up and to the right). https://cdn-blogs.fangraphs.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Screenshot-2021-01-11-at-11.56.08-AM.png

The league still does well with local broadcast revenue, with 6 teams getting 9 figures and over half get $50 million + per season. https://blogs.fangraphs.com/lets-update-the-estimated-local-tv-revenue-for-mlb-teams/

Not to mention the revenue they get from the MLB.TV package (which I subscribe, now in my 7th season) is doing better and better. During the 18-day period from Opening Day through April 18th, fans watched more than 1.34 billion minutes of live games on MLB.TV, a +12% increase compared to the first 18 days of last season and +43% when compared to the same time period of the 2019 season. In addition, total games watched on the league’s out-of-market streaming platform are up +22% compared to last season and +35% compared to 2019. https://www.mlb.com/news/mlb-tv-sets-record-in-streaming-numbers

Keep up the great work, but there is no reason to bash the MLB, like those you make fun of that trash the XFL.
