XFL Looking At CFL Players At End Of Season

The CFL season concludes on November 24th with their championship game ‘The Grey Cup.’ The XFL season doesn’t start until February 8th, 2020, with team mini-camps beginning in December.

There will be room for players to get XFL Commissioner Invitations once their CFL season ends as the XFL is always looking for quality players. One player could be current Saskatchewan Roughriders QB Cody Fajardo.

Justin Dunk appeared on The Rod Pedersen Show and said the XFL is looking at Fajardo.

Fajardo, the Roughriders starting quarterback, is playing on a one year contract. He became the starting QB after Zach Collaros suffered a concussion by Ticats linebacker Simoni Lawrence in the team’s season opener.

Collaros was placed on the six-game injured list, and Fajardo took over. He has since been traded to the Toronto Argonauts for a conditional 2020 fourth-round draft pick.

Fajardo has played well since taking over, and the XFL is watching and interested. Since he only has a one year deal, he could walk to the XFL or stay in the CFL. Great situation for him to be in, bad for the CFL and Saskatchewan Roughriders.

He could be one of many players who jump ship from the CFL for a shot at playing football in the US with the XFL.

XfL will fail just like the last ones . Let’s hope that some of these players see that the CFL will be there best chance for the NFL and if not they can have a long career in the Cfl
