Former Patriots QB Ryan Mallett Accepts XFL Commissioner Invite

The XFL this week officially announced Landry Jones as their first player signed to the XFL. It looks like now we can add former New England Patriots quarterback Ryan Mallett to that list.

Mallett took to his Instagram account to accept the Commissioners Invitation to be part of the XFL draft in October.

Mallett participated in the XFL Summer Showcase in Tampa Bay this year. He played his college ball at Michigan and Arkansas.

He was drafted by the New England Patriots in the third round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He also played for the Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens. He last played in the NFL in 2017.

The XFL highlighted some of his play at the Tampa Bay Showcase.
